The owner of this tour caught our family as we disembarked our ship and offered us one of his smaller tour buses exclusively for our family of 18. We were a little nervous to go off the Princess path at first, but boy were we glad we did! This tour was fantastic! We saw beautiful eagles, a bear, and all of the local attractions at beautiful Ketchikan. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Our tour guide was Thane, and he was the nicest, most knowledgeable and helpful guide. He truly made our tour special, and one that felt just perfect for what our family was looking for. “Today’s tour was packed full of excitement, knowledgeable informations and history. Teddy was our tour guy with sourdough tour & he made it happening! I wish I had more time with him! I can see that Teddy has so much energy to show off what kitchkan has to offer! Again, like I said, I wish I had more time for him to show my family more places. He took us to see salmon spawning, hundreds of salmon in the river laying eggs for next generation, Amazing! We then go to a hot spot for bear watching, I honestly didn’t think I would see a bear, however our luck was in play. Not did we just saw a bear, a Cub also! Even though it was only for less than a minute, that made my day! We then check out a waterfall and I didn’t think it was much until I step out of the vehicle and feel the wrath of the water fall. Teddy also took us around next to the waterfall with witness what would a rain forest would feels and looks like. Another true beauty of what nature has to offer! Teddy then took us to historical totems place. At then my family and I realized that we may not have enough time. We were worried that we could not make it back to the pier and then walk to take a shuttle back to our cruise (40-60 mins in all). This is when Teddy went above and beyond! He took us back to ward cove which is an out of the way drive to there. He could had left us at the pier and be on his way to clocking out from is job. Instead he wanted is to have more time checking out the historic totems. Teddy, （╹◡╹） Thank U for being who you are & doing what you do!”
